Met Vance for another stab at a medium progression. We ran through Indian Hills, and ran down on Patton Branch before turning around. I dropped off Vance at six and ran the fastest part around the Moss Wright 2.1 mile loop. I felt really good for the first mile but for some reason, had a lot of trouble on the second. I was very close to quitting after two but marathon running is about patience in adversity, not bagging it when things don't go your way, so I gritted down and did one more. The last one felt pretty decent but I didn't meet my goal of four miles at the end.
I decided to go ahead and start some faster stuff next week. It won't actually be a tough adjustment, because I'll probably just do a fast progression, a longer medium run and run a leg on the grudge match DMR at the Striders meet.
