Notes

85-100% of MP progression. Goal splits of 21:15, 19:45 and 24:40. Ended up splitting 20:36 (6:51, 6:44, 7:01), 19:37 (6:38, 6:38, 6:21) and 24:22 (6:05, 6:09, 6:18, 5:49). I mapped this course out as 10 miles but when I finished it, it only said it was 9.87 on my GPS, so I ran until it read 10. I lost my signal on some parts of the course, so maybe I ran a little long. Regardless, I ran this loop over two minutes faster than last time and the effort was a ton easier. I feel like I'm starting to get more fit now and am a ton stronger than I was a month ago. I was making myself hold back the last 4 and it felt like I was just jogging.

People always say to strike when the iron is hot, but I've learned in the past that I have to be a lot more careful when I'm feeling good in training. Many times I attack too much when I'm training really well, so I have to make sure I stay patient and keep my easy runs on the easier side of easy. I'm racing a 5k this weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to run 16:30ish.
