Notes
Met Connor Kamm to run yesterday's session on the track after our track meet. The goal was 10x1k at 3:05 with 1:00 slow jog recovery. I felt flat at first but after a few, warmed up and I felt strong and in control after that. Boredness factor aside, I could have done five more without a problem.
Connor and I ran side-by-side and took turns taking lane 1. I had some pain underneath my second toe on my left foot which probably is a result of the spikes. It's probably an irritated tendon or nerve issue because I used to frequently get neuromas in the past.
I was really glad to have a workout partner and it made the workout easier and more bearable. I think we will both chase the 2016 Trials standard and I think Connor will make the marathon adjustment pretty well. I know he won the D3 National 5k title in 2010 with a 14:28 but found out that was with a 4:13 last 1600m. Flying!
