Plan was 14.5 miles at sub 6:30, 5 miles at sub 5:20 and then jog easily the rest of the way. I got rolling pretty early but i made myself slow down because of the heat. Even though it was a little bit over 70 at the start, I could feel the effects only a few miles in. Stopped for a water break after the Boomer Route and started to feel a little bit drained around 12 miles in. I had trouble finding my rhythm at the start of the fast portion and I was INSANELY thirsty. After a couple of miles in, I was finding my rhythm but was getting a little bit lazy mentally. I didn't feel like pressing but I know I need to develop that calloused toughness, so I made myself stay with it. With 3/4 mile of fast running to go, my shoe came untied and it was super loose the last the last 1/2 mile but I made myself stay focused.
Happy with this run because I ran a good bit faster than I did when I ran this on Easter. I ended up losing 6-7 lbs. of water, so I need to have a couple more water stops next time.
