80+74=Freaking Hot

Decided to test out a fourish mile loop for an eight mile medium run. Instead of going back and forth on LSC, I went up Big Station Camp, which has a very gradual 1k hill, short downhill and another gradual 1/4 mile hill, then ran down Bison Way (long, gradual downhill). Other than about a mile of on/off shade, the rest was in the sun.

1st loop=22:32

2nd loop=22:16

Felt pretty good at the end of the loop. Around five miles in, I started feeling the heat, which got progressively worse. I struggled mentally after six miles and wanted to stop but needed to break my habit of quitting. The last mile was pretty tough but the long downhill helped. At the end of the second loop, I pushed really hard for the last 100m or so. I had to walk back and forth for a few minutes (in a shaded part of the road, of course) because I was so tired and was pouring sweat. Lost about six pounds of water.

Glad I got this done but man, this got tough towards the end.
