Notes

Packed two right shoes but luckily my walk-around shoes are the Nike Free Runs, which aren't too bad to run in.

Goal was 8x1/4 mile at sub 65 with 90s jogging rest. I ran this back and forth on the greenway on a 1/4 mile section. I thought this wouldn't be bad, but I was dying. I ended it at six because I was dying on the 5th and struggled really badly on the 6th. Times were: 64.91, 67.10, 63.82, 65.74, 63.17, 65.76 for an average of 65.08. Slower and less reps than I wanted but I guess you can take off close to 1/2 of a second if I changed it to 400s.

I really didn't think I would die this badly. I knew it was probably a little too soon for a session at "mile pace" and would have been better off with something like a tempo with fast 30s runs at the end or a straight up fartlek. Right now, I don't think I'd be too far behind my college self in a half-marathon but my college self would destroy me in a mile. I guess that shows endurance is king.
