GPS had 13.3. Really good weather. Plan was to sneak under the course record of 66:30 something. It'd be a little bit harder than marathon effort, but I figured it'd be a good stimulus on the rolling hills and the director wanted a new course record.

First 1.5 miles or so with Festus and someone else and then was alone for the rest of the way.

Could tell my legs were fatigued and 4-5 miles in, I wasn't sure if I would be able to handle the pace the entire route but I kept on clicking off the 5:05s, with no increase in effort. Watch fell off around halfway and had to go back and get it, which cost 2-3 seconds.

I was getting tired of the hills at the end but still felt strong. I REALLY had to use the bathroom and almost debated stopping in a porta-john but I made it to the end. Once I hit 12 miles, I knew I had the record, so I backed off some. Felt strong when I finished and legs felt good on the cooldown. If I wanted to really push it, I feel like I could have kept it up for five more miles before I started falling apart.
