Notes

Plan was 15 miles around 6:30 and then 5 miles at 5:25. I felt pretty good for the Boomer Route but started feeling the tiredness creep in around 12. During the fast part, I had a headwind while running down Main St. and running against traffic, in a 50mph speed limit didn't make it any easier. I thought the pace would become easier on Lower Station Camp but I was struggling. I decided to call it at four fast miles because I was really tired. When I finished, my inner quads/groin was really tired and worn out.

My lower back was also really sore from all of the yard work yesterday, which made the hills a little more difficult.

I'm frustrated I was so slow on the fast part because I felt 5:25 would be pretty easy. I think the wind played a part and while my fitness is rapidly advancing, I think my recovery ability is still a little bit slow.

Averaged 6:28 before the fast part and took a water stop, and marked my territory twice. Weighed 131 after the run, which is the lightest I've been since college. My weight is now down to 135/136, after being stuck in the 137-140 range for the last 1.5 years. It'll probably drop a couple more pounds this spring, which should have me ready to go.
