Initial plan was to start just under 6:00 pace and work down to 5:00 pace with Connor...but a Kenyan showed up and wrecked that plan.
We ran together for about seven miles and then gapped him. We kept on pressing because he wouldn't die-die, just died a little. Once we built up about 25s with a mile to go, we cruised in.
Lots of rolling hills, a gravel stretch a couple of miles long and some strong wind. Felt really good and smooth. I felt like I had plenty of tank, other than getting pretty dehydrated by the end.
