Plan was 10 miles of alternating halves of 2:40/2:50. Based on where I am in training, I was hoping to run the recovery times, but the focus is on the "fast" portion.
Started getting a little tired after three fast portions, so the recovery slowed down. Felt good for a while and was in the zone but my 9th fast one was tough, my recovery jog was really slow and I struggled some on the last fast interval. The heat definitely played an effect the second half and overall, it was a decent workout. I feel like the tools are there, but they just aren't put together yet. My speed is a little better than I thought but my gas tank needs some work. Because I beat my fast time by so much, next time, I will probably keep the fast portion the same and work on speeding up the recovery jog.
ran 26:08/28:46 for my overall times, which is 5:13/5:45 average. Looks like I ran everywhere but the road.
