Did a mile warm-up/down with 10 miles medium. Weather was really humid and it took me a couple of miles before I got rolling. Most of that was due to the course, because the first two miles or so had a lot of uphill running. With the weather and course, I felt really smooth and in control.
I'm most impressed I haven't been killed by any dogs out here yet. A couple of pit bulls were mad at me but they didn't leave the yard. Some little yappy dog and a malmute saw me and took off into the woods, right near where I was running. Maybe they wanted the element of surprise and to battle on their home turf and when I saw a broom handle with a metal thing attached to the end of it, I figured fate was calling for a battle to the death. They never went after me and I made it to run another day.
