Notes

Started out chilly and in the low 50s, and got warm by 16-17 miles and was over 60.

Felt pretty weak for the first 4-5 miles. I thought it would be a bad run but things got better. Stopped for some water after St. Blaise and then did the Boomer route backwards (which I feel is harder) and ran up Country Hills instead of Saundersville to add some rolling hills. On 2-3 of them, I felt like walking and I had no power at all. On the tough hills throughout the run, I caught myself leaning way too far forward and when I tried to stand straight up, it really hurt my hip flexors. Since I've been told they are chronically tight, that's probably why.

Was going to pick it up a bit the last 2-2.5 miles but there was a headwind on Jenkins, it became really bad on LSC and I still felt it the rest of the run, even though I ran almost in a square. It most have been an invisible tornado or something.

Got a bit tired towards the end and when I finished, I was suddenly really worn out and laid on the floor for a few minutes, and dragged butt most of the day.

Not a bad session but my endurance is still lacking. If I'm going to go ahead and do Rocket City as a steady long run, I have some fitness to gain.
