Eh day. Original plan was six miles on the track at 4:55-5:00 and maybe a couple 400s. Pace felt really easy and slow at first but every lap got hotter and hotter until I decided to scrap it at four miles and throw in a fartlek. The MI wasn't too bad but on a black track with no shade and no clouds, it had to be at least over 160 where I was. Splits were: 4:53, 4:58, 4:56, 5:01.

After the bailed workout, decided to try 3-4x3:00 hard, 1:00 easy. First one wasn't too bad and felt sort of slow. When I got done, it was insanely hot again and on the second one, it was just too freaking hot, so I called it a day.

Didn't feel too guilty about it at first but then realized I didn't get in much volume, when I wanted at least 30:00 of it. I was planning on a progression on Saturday but will probably change it up and get a little more quality. It won't help me that much with only a week to go but I need something longer, at least for the mental benefits.
