Was expecting to struggle through this workout but I was really pleased with how it went. Ran 6 miles in 32:44 with splits of 5:28, 5:35, 5:20, 5:31, 5:25, 5:25 for an average of 5:27. Normally I'm focused on pushing the whole way, but today my legs really never woke up and I felt like I was just going through the motions. I wasn't that tired at the end and felt like I could have run a couple of more miles without a problem. In the back of my mind, I thought I would have to really push myself to get 4 miles at 5:30 pace today but today just felt like a casual day at the office. Good mental booster after feeling like garbage all week.
