Had some watch trouble at the start but finally figured it out after starting over.
Goal was 4 miles in 20:00ish and then 2x.30 mile uphill.
1st mile=felt way easy. Planned on running 5:00-5:05 pace but it was easy.
2nd mile=a little bit tough but still in control
3rd mile= Lost some time the last half mile. Wanted to make myself stay under 5:00 but ignored the watch and ran by effort.
4th mile= tough, especially the last half mile. Debated kicking it in the last quarter or so but I was struggling.
Was pretty tired so I axed the hills.
After the first mile, I thought I'd be sub 20:00 for sure. Even though I slowed down about 5s per mile on the way back, it felt like I sped up 5s per mile. With how quickly I went from smooth to struggling, I'm not too confident in my 10k-HM fitness right now.
Need more extensive workouts and less broken up intervals. I feel about 10s a mile out of shape and hopefully will get to work in May.
Weather was about 70 and 65 DP
