First marathon specific workout and didn't plan on running this until today. Since the marathon is getting closer and I took a half day off work because of the xc meet, I figured to take advantage of the time. My goal was 7x2k at 7:00-7:05 with 1k jog recovery in 4:00. I ended up hitting 6:59/3:57, 7:05/3:58, 3:34/3:58, 7:03/3:57, 7:05/4:04, 7:08/4:11, 6:57, I had to change around some settings in my Garmin during the run, so I guess I thought I was done after 1k on the 3rd interval... Trying to figure out the kilometer pacing was pretty tough.

I was feeling pretty good in this workout until a big hill late in the 5th interval. The 6th one was really tough and the last one I ran really hard and hurt a good bit. I can't imagine doing 21 2k repeats in a row without any rest in 7.5 weeks but I think I still have some residual fatigue from my half-marathon as well as the mileage from yesterday. I was pretty drained after the workout and my hip flexors are still pretty beat up.
