Weather was 18, which really wasn't that bad and only bugged me on the warm-up and cooldown. Goal was 6400m progression run at sub 5:00, 4:55, 4:50, 4:45 and then 1/2 mile jog and 4x400m with 400m jog at a hard, controlled effort.
I was worried about the progression because of the weather but it felt good. It felt like I was flying at first and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to run under 4:45 and keep it close to threshold level but each mile felt about the same, effort wise. Good confidence booster on that part.
I thought the 400s would be faster but they felt smooth. However, I could run 20 of these with 1:00 rest a few weeks ago. I'll take it as me being marathon fit and when you're marathon fit, it's hard to get the wheels going.
Been dragging a bit today and it feels like I'm getting some of my usual pre-sickness stuff Hopefully it's just allergies or something because I can't get sick. I guess I'll know tomorrow.
