Notes

After the warm-up, did 2x200m strides with 200m jog recovery. Goal was 1k repeats sub 3:00 with 400m jog rest (took about 2:20 avg.). I didn't have a set number of repeats I wanted to do, I just planned on going until I started to falter. With the mileage of this week and being a little fizzled lately, I didn't want to dig too deeply, I just wanted to get near that point and get my motor running.

Times were 2:59, 2:59, 2:59, 2:58, 2:59, 2:59. The first two felt pretty easy, the fifth got a little hard and on the last one, I had to push a little bit the last 200m to hit my time. I could have done eight if I killed myself but that wasn't the goal today.

At this point, I should be running these sub 2:55 but I've done very little work at sub 5:00 pace, so I'll take it for now. This was easier than the 5k-4k-3k workout a few weeks ago, as well as the 5k-3200-1600 workout.
