The scenery was pretty.

I understand that most marathons put the pretty scenery in late in the marathon, to help encourage runners, and that scenic variation causes a lot of runners to slow down in the later miles.

Very impressive. Your pace really held well through 23, then even picked back up after that mile 24 flower-picking. And who travels a thousand miles (okay 1111 miles) to do a training run?
