Well looking at the splits I guess I was all over the place! Probablyy would have helped to hold a steady pace. Definitely felt the need for fuel around mile 6 and should have taken something at 5 miles. Mile 6 was a sharp right and up hill to school. Stopped anddrank whole glass of water. Legs were heavy here. Mile 10-11 felt like I was slowing down. Tried music and didn't help. Saw someone ahead charged toward them. Ran with the guy for awhile until he cramped up and stopped. Pushed on. Happy that finally... just barely, broke into the 1:38 range. Happy with PR and mostly happy with winning AG when I am at the top of it... age 59 and 10months! Ha. Felt like I could have run this much better and consistent which would have got me another minute. Next year.
