Hot and humid! Drenched in sweat by the end of the run. Felt a little stiff from yesterday, but other than that fine.

One of the podcast I listened to was of a phd student currently training for the marathon. He talked about how consistency, while not glamourous is the most important part of training (hmm sounds just like coach). There is no magic workout that gets you there it's just running everyday. He talked about how he had bad times where he didn't feel great and wasn't running his best, but then he had major PR's without changing his training at all. I enjoyed his perspective on training and instead of saying he was training for the next olympic trials he said he was training with the intention of making the olympic trials, but it might be this trials, or the 2020 ones or even the 2024 trials. Training is more about the journey than just one single race.
