This was really tough. Plan was to warm up with 4 miles really easy, than 4 miles medium and then 4 miles hard with 1 mile cool down. It was supposed to 4 miles at marathon pace at the end but with this weather I knew that wasn't going to happen. I was right. I was lucky to be in the mid 8s. 13 miles is far for me in the heat at this point. About a mile in I felt some pain in my left knee which was completely different than my usual knee pain. I actually considered stopping because it was a bit painful but I thought I would see how it felt after a little while longer. It ended up going away and never returned so I'm going to count that as some weird fluke pain that happens from time to time. My normal knee pain is not really coming up in my runs anymore. Even this long run I didn't feel it, but I might be achy after the run.

Next Sunday when I do 16 I plan to wake up early so I can avoid the heat. Can't wait for the fall!

I'm with you buddy, the heat is still bugging me too. Very nice job. Hope the knee is behaving.
