Notes

Well this definitely felt long. I started feeling a bit of an ache fairly early on around mile 8. But it never got that bad. There were a couple moments where it ached more, but ultimately it was more about this being a very long distance for where I am in my training. I just have not been doing many miles. I just barely hit 40 with this 22 miler this week, which is way low for me to be tackling this kind of long run. This is no surprise of course, I just need to be careful and continue to slowly build up and stretch and roll and all that.

I'm happy with my decision to bring it back down to 22 instead of 24. I'm going to alter the following weeks so I have another long run of around marathon length before I tackle the 31. Also was happy to see that I didn't fade that badly at the end. It definitely wasn't a death march as I was able to do the last 3 miles at around ~9:30 pace.
