Now we are talking. What a difference from a couple days ago. I decided to do what the plan said today which was just 5 miles at 7:29. This of course turned into a bit of a time trial. I can't say I was pushing 100% though. I was definitely feeling worse two days ago going much slower. But what a difference the weather makes and lack of fast food prior to my run. My splits were something like 7:24, 7:14, 7:17, 7:21, 7:00. This is my best guess using my watch and what I think are the mile markers. That last one was the last mile coming in. I kicked it in but I felt strong doing it. I think I could have done this pace for 6 miles. This is one of my best runs and I feel like some of my fitness has returned. Now I just have to keep up my training, stay healthy and lose some weight.
