Notes
Well this went alright I guess. Major disappointment when Andy and I realized that they changed it from a half to a 10 miler because of flooding. But I figured alright I'll just try to do 7:25 pace and that's pretty much what I did. The wind was pretty tough at some points but there was no major hill at the end. Honestly I don't feel this was my best effort. I think I could have pushed myself much harder and I was running at en effort I think I could have kept up for a half. So even though I got an alright time, I think I missed an opportunity to run more like a 7:20, but I'll never know. The thing that really pissed me off though was in the last mile I was looking to start picking up the pace when I turned the corner and there was the finish about half a mile sooner than I expected so I had this ridiculous 200 meter sprint with way too much left. Oh well. Maybe I can run another half in the next couple months with Andy down near DC. Speaking of which, Andy did awesome and ended up only a minute behind me blowing away his expectations. Also Frank beat my almost 2 minutes on running only 2 days a week! Time for me to lose more weight and step up my training although I have to mix in some swimming and biking now too because I have my Olympic triathlon in 3 months.
