Yeah. Um, wow. This just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? If at first my running was being hampered by things I could not control, now it is being actively ATTACKED by things I can not control.

Yeah, the whole 3,000 calorie crap is not working out. I don't think my stomach possesses the ability to even hold, much less digest 3,000 calories in one day. It just makes me feel like a freaking cow and like hurling.

Then there's the hips, and now apparently the knees again? I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to run without ibuprofen, just so see where I am in terms of pain; BAD IDEA. It's like my whole lower body was just like "GO TO HELL" the entire time, which wasn't very long, but it was long enough for me to realize that a number 10 spot on the team is not worth any of this. Like, I was hoping there was a corner somwhere in all of this, and that I would eventually turn it, but no, there is no corner, my body has simply forgotten how to run. Which is actually kind of ironic, considering the increase in intensity of the last few weeks.

I had a dream two nights ago that I was swimming the second leg of a triathalon, and then a shark bit off my left leg from the knee down. Isn't it great to have such an optimistic subconscious?
