Notes

Run was going really well and around Mile 8 it was starting to warm up and get more and more humid and I started falling behind EVERYONE but could keep them in sight; at 8.77 in, disaster struck and I tripped over the space between a manhole cover and the asphalt on the street and (once again) TORE UP my left knee (probably the worst road rash I've ever experienced), and scraped left and right hands and right elbow; next day it's somewhat better and the normal healing process seems to have started and not planning on seeking further medical attention other than what Jake (doctor) and Matt (police officer) did to treat the knee wound yesterday; getting back up to run the remaining 1.68 miles impressed the hell out of the group but that's what I've learned to do from all my previous falls; definitely impressed a cutie by the name of Gabbie, who connected with me on Strava after all was said and done

Strava title: "Sanguineous SIPR Saturday: 8.77 + A Fall + 1.68"

Strava notes: "Shout out to the lady who handed me a pack of wet-wipes as she drove by saying "you need these more than I do"; BIG thanks to Kelly for the post-run first-aid kit and Jake and Matt for the doctor / first-responder action.

Thanks to everyone who expressed concern during the run. This isn't my first road surface trip-and-fall.

Might be the worst one tho. So far"
