Hunter cancelled on me this morning, so I pushed the run to the afternoon. Was really depressed about my shin beforehand, so I was barely able to motivate to run. But I did it, and when I got out the weather was actually really nice. Felt great even though I was solo and did 25 freaking laps of the rugby field. But it was awesome to see the lap times gradually go down from 1:59-1:46 for the last one. The field simply has to be more than a quarter mile. If it's just 17 meters long, that is instantly an extra quarter mile every 25 laps. So I'm comfortable calling it a full 6.5 and 7:19 pace. I was rolling. The shin did bug me for just a bit, but I was having such a good time that I didn't stop. The fact that there's a bruise does worry me, but I still have hope for it. I'm going to finish the week and then I'll just consider taking a week or two in the pool. I dunno... It's so fucking frustrating. I'm just getting into shape. How am I getting injured on 30 miles in a week. Anyways... I did 4x20 barefoot strides on grass afterwards.

EDIT: having run with GPS watch on this field now, I know that each lap is .27. So I've revised the distance and the pace went to 7:03. Savage.
