This was a brutal ride. I was already a little tired from the 7 I rode before it and my legs were so tired and painful the whole way. I wish I could just run... My legs were so tired on the climb I was barely able to get my heart rate to 160. This ride has 1,400 feet of elevation gain and two major climbs which I think is a lot. I'm worried that I'm just getting my legs in biking shape and not doing anything for myself aerobically. I'm so fit right now that it's hard to get my heart rate up because my legs are so weak and not used to biking that they can't come close to my heart and lungs, which is a little frustrating. At least this will keep me from gaining weight.
