Notes

After coming home from the state meet, headed out for this. It turned into a beautiful day but it was quite windy. I wasn’t planning on going that hard but I had a hurricane behind me on Pleasant Valley and let it roll me. Almost took a couple KOMs on the way out (got 2nd and 3rd on some.) hit 11 miles in Chester in 31:16 which is bonkers. I thought I had a shot to average 20 for the whole ride at that point. Wanted to hammer the steep climb segment but it was too much. I came into it tired and I couldn't hang. It’s definitely steeper than the one in CT. Was tiring and working hard from there, but couldn’t generate much power back from Grafton. The wind was too much. So slowed down a bit, but still took a route record. This is the fastest I’ve done it either way, but way faster than I’ve ever gone this way. My phone disabled so I stopped it about 25 seconds late at the end, but my garmin was luckily on so I got the time. Also did this rude kn the other bike we have. Good day of training, was really wrecked after this. It was interesting to see some HR data for the ride. If my watch is accurate I really work hard. I think it said 167 average on this and like 1,110 calories. I was really destroyed after this so it makes sense.
