Awesome solo workout at the track this afternoon. Went out in 81 feeling really good. Then dropped a 79 and figured I'd run a slight negative split. Dropped a couple 78s and finished in 5:16. Took two minutes standing and just aimed for a 5:20. But I went out in 77. The second one hurt after that first lap, but I kept it going. 78, 76, 76 for a 5:07. Then took 2 minutes standing before going 76.5, 76.5 for a 2:33. Almost ended the session but I figured I had something left. Took 1:30 standing then went 75, 74 and had a lot left if I had wanted to kick harder. The 800s hurt but I was strong as hell. I can't believe how much faster I did this session than last week, and on less rest. I'm in monster shape. I bet I could go 4:40 right now, and probably sub-16:30. And give me a few races and a few more weeks and I'll be in sub-16 shape I bet. I'm light and I'm carrying a massive aerobic base into this sharpening workouts. My foot started to hurt differently on the cool down which had me worried, but I am still feeling good about this workout. I eviscerated it.
