Last minute entry into the Scandia Run. Great field and a great race. Rob McL went out early and led wire to wire sub 32 minutes. Bailey and another went with him for a bit but ended up by themselves. Josh and I settled into a pack of 10+ good runners. There was definitely a good breeze this morning so being in the pack was beneficial and we caught the chase pack of 2 at about mile 3. Miles Dunbar and Rui made a move out of the pack at about that same point and I went with them. Dunbar held the move and took second by himself. Rui, Bailey, and I were together for the next mile+ fighting for 3rd place. Rui had plently left and moved with 1k to go to take 3rd place. Bailey ran exceptionally tough and held me off for 4th place while I took 5th. I was slightly disappointed with my close but I definitely ran hard. Josh finished 6th to beat out the Hackers. Team Eugene Generics took the team title with Josh taking the 5th spot at an impressive 33:11. Scandia was a fun race. Excited to get in some races this fall.
