Notes

So, I haven't been keeping up with the running log as of late. Given that I haven't been healthy since around Christmas, my training is pretty much on life support at this point. I mean - Yesterday when I was snorkeling, I remembered back to my mindset at Christmas. I was willing to do anything necessary to break 16:00 in the 5k by the end of outdoor. There's no reason I can't still do it. Besides my real goal is to finish top 15 in parkside and make the Oshkosh team.

I regret having to miss the team meeting today, but the academic situation is dire.

And as I was swimming out, I was knew I was still willing, and I swam harder. I mean I've had no shortage of easy efforts, but I've been short on VO2 work ever since I realized that the elliptical machine had injured me. I know I can get my heart rate up with rowing. I cannot maintain a hard effort in the pool for more than 5 minutes, and then I'm finished and have to go easy. Lack of kick turns also breaks up anything I do.

I want to do a minicycle until the end of 10th week, where I will row a 10k after each run I do, and swim easy in between to recover. Or perhaps I should stop in and visit Coach Hall, and ask about simulation.

Today I rowed a 5 k in 19:20 ish, although I had to stop and get my gear from the cage. 6 second count was 210 bpm at the end.

Cooled down for another 8 minutes.

Also, from now on I will list sleep and health concerns.

Sleep: 5.5 hours

Health Concerns: Tender spot on Fibular head has gotten worse, Left leg is tight. Hip adductors are still weak.
