Splits: 3:00 at 800m, 5:51 at 1600, 11:42 at 3200, 18:27 at 5000. My pace was a bit unsteady, but I was well under 6:00 unlike last summer. I slowed down after my posture started comming apart. I forgot how hard it was to race. I actually had to look inside myself to motivate myself to go after my times. The thought had crossed my mind to run the 4x 1600m workout instead. Although this was a tempo, it would have been a PR for my 5k in high school. And there's the fact that I did this all on my HS track. This workout was a lot like racing half a 10k, and alone on the track at night, I don't know if I could have completed the second half of the 10 k without dropping off.

This workout tells me 2 things: 1. I am in better shape than I was in high school. 2. I am not in shape to ge a big pr in 8k yet.

No heel or knee pain. I'm going to stay on soft stuff for the rest of the week.

From now on I'm attaching some badger circut to all my quality workouts. Did Abs, Backs, 1 set push ups, Dips.
