I'm not really sure if this is read anymore, but I'd like to take this oppurtunity to state how much I underperformed.
I got sick on Wednesday, and I was feeling terrible on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I could have asked to be excused like Mendez, but I remembered being injured for last year's time trial, and I really wanted to run this one. Unfortunately, I couldn't perform. I went out in 1:19 behind Matt Wan, and I already knew I was finished. The rest of the race was just damage control. I wasn't really tired from it on Sunday, although my hamstrings weren't too happy.
On Wednesday, I bet I could have run sub 9:45.
I want to start some sort of hamstring regime on lifting days - like adding leg lifts because hamstings seem to come up whenever I have any kind of hard effort.
