Notes

Nice run this morning. Dubuque is a great city/town to run in. Tons of people out walking and running along Asbury and Grandview. Great couple of hills to battle. Right where my dad my lives there is a .09 hill that is about 67 ft elevation and then another one that is really about a half mile, but the elevation really shoots up for about .4 mile and goes up about 140 ft.

No one passed me, I only passed a few joggers, but there was a pack of young men (I'm guessing from from the Univ of Dub) I met just before my turnaround and within a block of my final turn I had them in my sights, but would have needed a few more blocks to catch them. That's what makes a community like this fun to workout in.

Traffic was impossible to count as where the runners, but I'm guessing around 50-60 runners/walkers.

Mile splits: 8:57 (the hill), 8:01/7:49/7:56/7:56/7:55/7:43/ 2:27 for final .35 (7:01 pace- going down the hill and up the steep one).

Legs felt good. Very comfortable with the pace and could have gone faster, but wanted to control it and not push too hard. Felt my longer runs were too easy at times in Jan/Feb.

A little discomfort in the chest, but I think it was more over eating the past 24 hours (indigestion or heartburn). Felt this before I ran, nothing during my run, and a little after I ran (like right now). Just irritating.
