First 5K in a long time. Went out feeling pretty good..no mile markers which I was not to happy about in the start, but as the race went on was ok with it.....it forced me to just run and not think about anything. I led about 2.95 of the race. The race finished on the STC track...I was tied with Tim Johnson, my athlete who just ran 1:56 and 4:25 in the mile this year. I tried to kick, but he laughed at me as he went by me with 300 to go....he went on to win in 16:35 and I finished 2nd in 16:45. Not bad...this helps with marathon training...I'll take it.
