Notes to myself: This is my watch time. It is probably overestimating by ~25 seconds due to pushing it too early and too late at the end. Also the watch distance was 26.52, for a pace of 10:35. Since i really don't have anything to judge it against, I'm pretty happy, especially with the big hills.

My official time is not up yet, but probably ~5 minutes longer. I had to go to the bathroom around mile 8, and had to wait in line.

Report: I think it went really well. The first big challenge was around mile 14 there was the first hill. It wasn't that bad. Though I followed 15 feet behind another guy that definitely helped a lot.

I walked through each aid station. But in training where I was planning to walk about 1 minute for each one, i actually just walked as long as it took to drink, about 15 seconds. Not until later in the race did i keep walking.

In my training I always hit the wall around mile 16. For this I did great. I was good up to mile 21. Around mile 19 i was telling myself I was getting stronger, and I felt it. Then around mile 20.5 at the aid station i had some powerade and it gave me a side ache. That is when things started hurting a lot. Then at about mile 21.5 there was a long hill (maybe 1+ mile). I did pretty good up to the first false summit, partly because I was determined, but it took so much out of me. So then for the rest of the race I seemed to run for about .5 mile, then walk for 20 seconds. I was hurting pretty bad. But i had enough to finish good for the last .6 miles.

Happy with it being my first time. Next time would like to get those last 3 miles so I don't have to walk run at the end.
