Set out for the 1st 3 miles with out using any references but got going a bit faster than I really wanted but it felt good & easy so let it flow & finished the 1st 3 miles in under 24 minutes, a thing of the past I was thinking.. After this I slowed down to the 6 MPH ish pace that l seem to be able to recover at. In places I found myself going too fast again but at the slower end I found I was heavy footed & thumping the footstriks.
