I know too fast to be a tempo. But I threw down the gauntlet with the middle school kids to see who would hang. Top boy and top girl responded. Top boy beat me by about 200 meters. I actually finished in a dead heat with the girl. She actually opened about a 100 meter lead on me at the 100 meter mark. She died a little on the third 2.5K lap around Buccleuch. I passed her with 200 meters to go and kicked. She responded and caught me. It's only a matter of time until she beats me.
