3.5 up, 2.5 down easy miles for the workout. Ran shaded trails for the cool-down.
Planned workout: 7x 5 minutes @ T-pace (6:15-6:20); with 1 minute rests on the measured road course. Ran with Randy.
Actual workout: 6x 5 minutes & 1x 1 mile.
Didn't catch a break with the weather as we dealt with direct sun and high heat index again. At least we were done with the quality portion by 8:30 am and before the real heat of the day. With the shorter 5 minute workbouts, it took a couple to get dialed in to pace. Since we were running too fast, changed the final cruise interval to a mile (6:09).
A positive workout in prep for Sunday's race.
