Interesting workout. Second week in a row that my track workout has been foiled by weather. Rained and snowed last night and that left the first 4 or 5 lanes of the East River Track under water. Lane six was useable, so that's what I did the workout on. I thought I had figured out where to start and end so that it would be an even 1k, but I was wrong. I didn't realize this until I got home, so during the workout I was trying to figure out why I was running so slow. It was confusing and a little demoralizing because I felt good all day. Didn't feel as bad as the times seemed during the workout. Almost stopped after 3 because I couldn't hit my goal pace. But considering I was running about 1073 meters, the times were actually about right. Smh. Recovery was all ove the place. Was supposed to do 400m jog ,but the track left me to improvise. The last two I think were 200m jog/walk recovery. I probably took more time than I originally planned because I felt like I had to to even get close to what I wanted to get done. I'd say avg recovery was about 2:20.
