6th overall, first in age group, second masters. Finished in front of Ashley Evans this time, which I'd hoped to do - she beat me by around 10 seconds in 2013. Good race, although I was hoping to run closer to 6:30 pace.
Jonah and Parker were each 2nd in their age groups! Jonah's first half marathon, and Parker's PR. The guy who beat Parker was Sam Bollen, a friend of Samuel's home from Princeton for the summer.
Hot race. Didn't carry water, and didn't really get enough to drink. They handed out water bags, and I had trouble with them. By the end I was pretty hot and a little dazed. Went to watch Parker finish and sat in the wrong place for 5 minutes before I realized nobody was running by.
A makeshift bluegrass band burst into Dueling Banjos about 1.5 miles into the race, and a video of that was a hit on YouTube.
