Picked a new route with not the same hill challenge as the run by my house. It is still a grade, but not as severe as the one on Anthem Hills Dr. I should start at the top and do the downhill portion first, then the uphill portion to challenge myself for a negative split. I did not do that on this first run so the negative split is more than 4 minutes. Next time I'll switch.
Split was 19:14/15:08. Pace on the back half was a solid 6:04. I'm happy the overall pace was under 7:00 and this is my PBR for 5K for some long time. No rests no walking and some strides.
