IT Band was really tight after speedwork yesterday. That sealed the deal on whether I am running a 5K before the 50. If I'm that tight just from 5K pace during a workout, I can't imagine that a race will loosen things up.
Did 3 miles of hill repeats at the sled hill, alternated running up/walking up . Definitely felt better on the hills than any previous workout and felt like I could have done more but didn't want to overdo it this close to the race.
