RPE7-9+. Woke up feeling better than yesterday but still a bit tired. Discomfort noted in my rt thigh. Stretched and worked abs. ran 1 mile stopped and stretched again. I usually feel more relaxed and ready to run after that 2nd stretch. I guess this is one reason why my 2nd mile is usually my fastest mile. Felt fast and in control today. It was a very hard effort. warm up was 15 mins. Fartleks: 30sec,60 sec,90sec,120,90,60,30 with 30 secs in between each. Followed by 2mins recovery after first ladder. Then repeated! Afterwards rt thigh felt fine. I ran controlled which helps ensure no injuries. I used to run as hard as I could at every "Hard" workout. Now I run smart controlled and hard. In training I run like I have one more gear. Its when I do not run as if I have one more gear that I greatly increase my risk of injury. Walked over .5mile. That felt great. I am either getting more accustom to the heat or it felt a bit cooler this a.m. Perhaps the lack of high humid helped it feel cooler. Stretched...
