rpe7-8. I give my rpe an 8 only bc my legs felt fatigued this a.m. HR did not work until late in run ..see above comment...My legs felt like the beginning of my IMAZ run. Whereas yesterday my legs felt like the middle to end of my IMAZ run. I felt good but just didnt have the power in my legs. I felt like I was running almost as hard as Saturdays run but I wasnt going as fast. I wondered if my Garmin was not accurate. How could I be so much faster Saturday than today. The temperature was awesome for a run...Certainly in comparison to Saturdays hot run. I am and was well fueled for the run today. i was well rested also. Once the HR monitor did work I found my HR was in the low 130's even dropping into the 120's. So I began to push just a little. I didnt feel I was working that much more then the first several miles before the HR monitor began working. The slight increase in pace was at about the same effort level. Now I am not sure how much longer I could have held that pace bc it was only for the last ~2.5 miles. I felt like I could have ran like that another loop. But who really knows...The last 2.5 miles was not enough time for me to tell....walked briefly and stretched a while afterwards. Left calf did ok today...It continues to have a slight ache. This began before IMAZ and will not go away until after IMTX. It is one of those things I continue to monitor. It does not inhibit my training...Ready for my run fitness to pick up. My swim is where it is going to be. My bike is solid. And will continue to build. I am confident with these two. But the run is not there yet.
