I felt the slow down a little in mile 2, but maintained my gap just behind the three guys in front of me. When I passed them at the end of mile 2, I used their proximity to go a little faster. I also passed the second female with about two tenths to go, to hear her dry heaving behind me. Awesome effort from her. I couldn't bring myself to the banks of the River Hurl, but I could see it from my path. Good race, good racing. Not a PR, which was my goal, but a fine outing.
I'm pretty sure I finished 12th OA, and 2nd in my age group.
