Hills! I haven't done hill sprints in 6 months or more, but I decided that it was time to start working them back in. Wasn't the best day for them. I felt pretty sluggish out of the gate today. I did the typical 2.8ish warmup from the office to the Murphy hill with 3x30s strides thrown in. The way I was feeling and breathing on the strides I have knew that I wasn't going to be in great hill sprinting form, but I went for it anyway. The first couple were actually better than I thought they were going to be, but I was breathing hard even after just one. I started to feel things breaking down towards the end of the 3rd, and could have gutted out a 4th (my goal) but decided it wasn't going to do much other than make me more useless for the afternoon so I held off. Not bad overall. I really hate hill sprints, but I know they pay huge dividends so I'm going to try to work them back in on a weekly basis.
