Fast progression on the TM. Felt really good to knock out a good TM workout. I wasn't feeling like dealing with sub-freezing temps today so I headed to the Y. I was originally planning on doing hill sprints, but since I didn't run outside, I opted for this workout. My original plan was to do a 3-4 mile tempo in the mid-6's. Since I haven't been doing a lot of fast running, though, I didn't want to start out too fast so I eased into it and stepped the pace up on each mile. It took about a half mile for me to settle into the turnover. It felt really fast when I first kicked up the speed, but it felt better after that. I wasn't really sure what I could handle, but miles 2 and 3 felt great so I went ahead and stepped it up to 6:00 flat on the last one. Breathing felt good the whole time. I didn't feel dead at the end and jogged an 8:34 to cool down immediately after.
